Joanne Harding is a classically trained soprano and a highly experienced voice teacher and mentor with extensive professional performance and teaching experience. She works with singers to build strong, reliable vocal technique and develop confidence in their voice, their creativity, and themselves.
Her teaching is rooted in classical training and informed by a holistic understanding of the voice — supporting not only technical and musical literacy development, but the whole person behind the voice.
Alongside her teaching practice, Joanne works as an interdisciplinary artist, weaving voice, text, visual art, and musical composition.
Some beautiful sentiments from my students:
“Joanne has been my mentor for the past 7 years, and since my first singing class I have expanded my vocal range and clarity, strengthened by breath support, and have enjoyed many conversations on the holistic and healing powers of voice and music.
Joanne is a holistic mentor who brings elements of her life as a music teacher, professional singer, healer and poet into every lesson, encouraging her students to bring their own creativity and experience to their practice”~ Ella.
“Thanks so much for everything Joanne. You’re a super teacher and I have learned so much from you”~ Siobhán
“Thanks so much for that Joanne- you have a real gift as a teacher as well as a singer. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your help and your time and kindness. x”~ Marianne
“Merry Christmas, my lovely Joanne & Kostas! ❤️🎄I’m so sorry for the late reply – I really wanted to write you properly, from the heart.
My Christmas was truly magical. I spent it with my family, and it was so warm, soulful, and full of love (and a good food) 😁
I miss you a lot and think of you often. Recently I was scrolling through my phone gallery and found a video from one of our lessons. My heart felt so warm instantly. Coming to our class has always been associated with something like home, so safe, and deeply spiritual for me – like a place where I could truly be myself 🙏🏼
Meeting you was a real gift of fate. I am endlessly grateful that you…. decided to take me as your student. Thank you for believing in me – sometimes it feels like you believe in me even more than I believe in myself. Thank you for always seeing the light in me and speaking it out loud. That meant so much, and it always inspired me. I will never forget that 🥹😭
You are truly wonderful. Your kindness warms so many hearts I’m sure. You became the kind of person, the kind of teacher, that I always felt I was missing in my life.
And Kostas too – such a magical and talented soul, and also incredibly funny. I love his honesty, his directness, the freedom to talk about absolutely anything… and of course the “quests” he always gives me – “What do you see in this painting?” 😂
Sending you so much love, warmth, and gratitude this Christmas. I carry you both in my heart 🤍”~ Vlada
